I've said this xanga was closed a zillion times before, but this time I think it really is permanent. I never use it anymore...I use LJ mostly, these days...and I do not know if anyone really uses xanga anymore. I did, but that was a long time ago and I just don't feel like writing in it anymore.

So thanks, I suppose, goes out to all the dudes who've read this thing over the far too many years that it's been up.

I got Cake to watch two eps of B5 today. I think I've got her hooked. She thoroughly enjoyed it and it's only the very beginning of the *first season*. That's 'cause JMS = win.

I has a piccolo!

My flute teacher said I needed to get one, and because of all the shit that went down this summer, I kept procrastinating until about a week ago I was all, shit, I need a piccolo. The Music Shop didn't have any of the ones I was looking for so I got my butt over to Flute World and ordered one and it came in the mail yesterday. There's a ten day trial period but I like the picc so I'm going to keep it. It handles well and the keys are very smooth even though I totally suck at piccolo. But I've always sucked at it and I guess that's the point of getting one and bringing it to my flute teacher, so I can learn to not suck. I somewhat pwn at flute but fail at picc and my teacher's all, yeah since you're a double major (oboe/flute) you need to learn the dang piccolo.

So I have one now. Her name is Burell and I'm all, omg they're so TINY. I named her after a character in the Passing of the Techno-Mages trilogy, which is one of the best trilogies of all time. Seriously, read them, 'cause...they're amazing. I skipped class to finish the second book, and that book got the Plot Twist of the Year Award. Burell died in the first book but she was awesome, and my piccolo was either going to be named that or Kari. I liked Kari better and so did the piccolo, except it's too close to my roommate's name and that'd get confusing. So Burell it is.

I'm going back to school in *two days*. I'm curious to see what the year is going to be like after going through hell at the beginning of this summer. It's going to be different and I'm going to make sure it's different. I know I've changed and am still changing in response to the shit that went down. I'm going to start growing a backbone (le gasp! and I started kinda at the end of last year in that one history class lol) and...I dunno. There's just going to be changes. My oboe teacher called and I barely recognized myself on the phone with him. I'm like...dude, when did I talk like that? Sound like that? But it's in a good way. Maybe I'm finally losing my *meep*. I do hope so, because frankly I'm tired of it because the only thing that happens to shy, dedicated people is they become everyone's bitch and can't say anything for themselves. And my goal this year is to answer the Shadows' question of "What do you want?" instead of "what does everybody else want that I can do for them?" I'll get back to you on that, Mr. Morden.

Hey, this is the first long entry I've written in a long time. I have no idea why the fuck I'm still keeping this xanga, but it seems to have died and then been ressurected at least half a dozen times, so I guess I should just accept that it's like Imhotep from The Mummy or something.

Seriously, why do I still have this xanga? I almost never use it anymore.

That aside, Mysterium was absolutely amazing. It was undoubtedly the best thing that happened to me all year.
